One of the most outstanding examples of popular Galician architecture, this fishing village is 7 kilometres from Pontevedra and belongs to the municipality of Poio.
This is no doubt the most beautiful parish in our province, right in the heart of Rias Baixas.
Combarro also includes a total of eight roadside crosses or “cruceiros” some of which date back from the XVIIIth century and they located at crossroads, in the same squares in the centre or at the entrance of one of its charming churches. Let’s not forget the granaries (Horreos) still used to store corn.
It is a memorable experience to sit down in one of the numerous typical bars lapped by waves at high tide, beside its small beach, and enjoy the views.
For all the reasons above mentioned it has declared a historic-artistic site of high cultural interest.
